Abstract

The Central Statistics Agency has conducted the 2024 Village Potential (Podes) data collection in May 2024 through a census of all districts/cities, sub-districts, and the lowest government administrative areas at the village level. The village-level administrative areas covered in Podes include villages, sub-districts, nagari in West Sumatra, Transmigration Settlement Units (UPT), and Transmigration Settlement Units (SPT) which are still being supervised by the relevant ministries. The results of the 2024 Podes data collection in Konawe Regency noted that 353 village-level government administrative areas consisted of 294 villages, 57 sub-districts, and 2 UPTs. In addition, it is also known that there are 28 sub-districts. The 2024 Podes data collection collects various information, both in terms of the potential of the village/sub-district and information related to the vulnerabilities or challenges faced by the village/sub-district and basic infrastructure in the village/sub-district. Information related to village/sub-district potential includes: population and employment, housing and environment, education, health, socio-culture, sports and entertainment, transportation, communication and information, economy, security, development and empowerment of village/sub-district communities. Information related to vulnerabilities or challenges includes natural disasters, environmental pollution, social and health problems in the community, and security disturbances that occur in the village/sub-district. Information on infrastructure in the village/sub-district includes: education, health, and economic infrastructure.
