  • Kendari City inflation in June 2020 was recorded at 1.33 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 104.80. Out of 90 cities, 76 cities experienced inflation and 14 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Kendari City and the lowest inflation was recorded in Makassar (South Sulawesi) by 0.01 percent with CPI 105.51.
  • Inflation that occurred in Kendari City was caused by an increase in the price index in the transportation group 3.39 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group 2.67 percent; the personal care and other services group 0.31 percent; and household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance 0.14 percent. The deflation group included clothing and footwear by 0.45 percent and housing, water, electricity and other fuels by 0.01 percent. While the health group, information group, communication and financial services group, the recreation group, sports group, and culture group and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group did not change / were relatively stable.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation are air transportation, mackerel / bloated fish / banyar fish / gembolo fish / aso-aso fish, flying fish / benggol fish, anchovies, anchovies / tude fish, rambe fish, katamba fish, shallots, skipjack fish / scales, and spinach.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation are liquid soap / dish washing, tempeh, sweet corn, chicken eggs, rice, online 4-wheeler vehicle rates, young papaya, granulated sugar, Muslim women's clothing, and garlic
