Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Konawe Regency was 4.10 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.76. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 8.00 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.65 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.87 percent; health group 19.82 percent; transportation by 1.06 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.74 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.41 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.95 percent. Several other expenditure group indices experienced a decline, namely: equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group by 0.11 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 2.01 percent. The education group did not experience changes in the index. The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Konawe Regency in February 2024 are 0.80 percent and 1.11 percent respectively.
