Abstract

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.14 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.65 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.23 percent; transportation group at 0.92 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.74 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.30 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.87 percent. Several other expenditure group indices experienced a decline, namely: equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group by 0.38 percent; and the health group at 0.23 percent. The information, communication and financial services group; and the education group did not experience changes in the index.
