Consumer Prices Indices Growth of Konawe Regency, May 2024

Abstract

In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Konawe Regency was 2.44 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.82. Y on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.78 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.04 percent; health group by 1.75 percent; transportation group at 1.28 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.30 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.76 percent. Several other expenditure group indices experienced a decline, namely: the clothing and footwear group by 0.44 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.11 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 1.99 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group at 0.15 percent. The education group did not experience a change in the index. The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Konawe Regency in May 2024 was 0.03 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Konawe Regency in May 2024 was 1.16 percent.
