Abstract

In August 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Konawe Regency was 0.88 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.88.

The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.13 percent; the health group by 2.46 percent; the transportation group by 1.43 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.27 percent; the education group by 0.30 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.72 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.84 percent. Several other expenditure group indices decreased, namely: the clothing and footwear group by 0.29 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.28 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.32 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 2.32 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Konawe Regency in August 2024 was 0.92 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Konawe Regency in August 2024 was 0.66 percent.
