Abstract

In January 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation in Konawe Regency of 1.24 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.58.

The y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in several expenditure group indices, namely: the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 15.13 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 2.96 percent; and the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.74 percent. Several other expenditure group indices increased, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.48 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.31 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.84 percent; the health group by 3.01 percent; the transportation group by 1.02 percent; the education group by 0.30 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.48 percent; and personal care and other services group by 1.63 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Konawe Regency in January 2025 was 1.15 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Konawe Regency in January 2025 was 1.15 percent.
