Abstract

In October 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) deflation in Konawe Regency of 0.63 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.54. The y-on-y deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices indicated by a decrease in several expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 1.52 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.27 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.09 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 2.32 percent. Several other expenditure group indices increased, namely: clothing and footwear group by 0.18 percent; health group by 2.46 percent; transportation group by 0.89 percent; education group by 0.30 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.72 percent; personal care and other services group by 1.14 percent. Meanwhile, the recreation, sports, and culture group did not experience any changes in the index. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Konawe Regency in October 2024 was 0.20 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Konawe Regency in October 2024 was 0.98 percent.
