Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Konawe Regency will be 4.30 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.60. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in several expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 9.57 percent; clothing and footwear group at 2.16 percent; health group at 2.46 percent; transportation by 1.06 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.23 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.46 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.00 percent. Several other expenditure group indices experienced a decline, namely: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 1.24 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.09 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 1.96 percent. The education group did not experience changes in the index. The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Konawe Regency in March 2024 are 0.78 percent and 1.90 percent respectively.
